Seminar

Presented by WineCoastCountry.com and benefiting Friends of Hearst Castle
Location: Hearst Castle, San Simeon

Step back in time to become an honored guest of William Randolph Hearst at his beloved “La Cuesta Encatada”, now known as Hearst Castle.  This historic property, once the private summer residence for Mr. Hearst and his longtime paramour Marion Davies, is now a California State Park and elegant landmark of California’s Central Coast.  Your experience begins as you step onto the coach that transports you up the gently winding road through Hearst ranchland. Listen to the tales of lavishly hosted retreats at the Castle and stories of the glory days of the 1920s and 30s.  Stepping off the coach, you are surrounded by stunning gardens, original works of art, and romantic patio alcoves and esplanades.

Chef and owner Maegen Loring Catering joins locally acclaimed chefs to present their world-class cuisine for you to enjoy as you listen to live music and dance against the backdrop of Casa Grande.  Taste award-winning wines from Sunset’s International Wine Competition while you shop for one-of-a-kind items in the Silent Auction allowing you to take home a piece of the Central Coast to enjoy later.  (Proceeds benefit Friends of Hearst Castle’s efforts to restore the magnificent 16th-century Spanish Madèjar coffered ceiling in Hearst Castle’s Morning Room.)

Step back to a bygone era of elegance, grandeur, and enjoyment of California’s Coastal wonderland.

Take time to play and purchase your ticket today!

Attire: Cocktail party attire suggested.  Have fun and dress in theme with 1920s or 30s party attire!
